PRESS STATEMENT | DOJ Strengthens Public Service Through its Katarungan Caravan and Job Fair in Dagupan, Pangasinan

Reinforcing its commitment to efficient access to justice, the Department of Justice (DOJ), through the DOJ Action Center (DOJAC), in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), demonstrated the importance of bringing legal services and livelihood opportunities directly to local communities through the successful implementation of the Katarungan Caravan and Job Fair last 6 December 2025 in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

More than 130 residents received legal assistance through the Katarungan Caravan, while 111 job seekers participated in the Job Fair. From securing legal documents and consultations to submitting job applications and interviews, local constituents of Dagupan were able to conveniently access crucial government services all in one venue.

Through the leadership of Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez, the conduct of the Katarungan Caravan continuously embodied the Department’s commitment to bringing accessible and efficient justice closer to the hearts of every Filipino in every community. She likewise highlighted DOJ’s mission that justice to every Filipino must be within arm’s reach.

Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez and Councilor Danee Canto also expressed their full support to the first-ever Katarungan Caravan in the entire province of Pangasinan.

In addition, FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list Representative, Congressman Brian Poe-Llamanzares, once again showed his strong support for the DOJ’s continuing efforts to deliver efficient government service to the Filipino communities.

In attendance were the following participating agencies – DOJ Action Center, led by DOJ Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), National Coordination Center Against OSAEC & CSAEM, Office of the Regional Prosecutor (ORP), Office of the Provincial Prosecutor – Pangasinan (OPP), Office of the City Prosecutor – Dagupan (OCP), Board of Claims (BOC), Local Civil Registry (LCR), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Land Registration Authority (LRA), Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

With the aim of bolstering employment opportunities, eleven (11) private companies also took part in the Job Fair, accepting applications and conducting on-site interviews, namely, Banko, Allianz, RPR Promotions, Pronto, Resolv Global, Home Credit, USATV, Staff Search Asia Service Cooperative, SNPW, INFOTECH, and Automatechs.

In the end, the Katarungan Caravan stands as clear proof that the Filipino people deserve accessible, efficient, and swift government services. By bringing vital assistance directly to communities, the program reaffirms our commitment to a justice system that listens, responds, and delivers.
